Single-Family Luxury Homes in Chicago Sold Amazingly Fast in April

Single-family luxury homes were flying off the proverbial shelves last month, with 4 out of the top 5 most expensive homes selling in less than a month.

April’s luxury home sales (those priced a $1 million and higher) totaled $57 million in sales, coming from 33 properties. Seven of those sales were more than $2 million.

Bucktown Becoming a Destination for Chicago Luxury Real Estate

Bucktown is certainly coming into its own—this Chicago neighborhood took two spots on last month’s priciest home sales. In recent months, we’ve seen a number of new construction properties sell in Bucktown, many of which take advantage of wide lots, modern architecture and happening surroundings.

Just back in January, Bucktown saw its second highest-priced sale ever at $3.1 million. The highest (before April’s sale) was $3.68 million. So last month’s most expensive home sale in the city was likely a record-breaker for the neighborhood as well.
