March Sales of Chicago Luxury Homes Total $41.6 Million

Although the luxury Chicago real estate market is continuing to charge forward, the month of March saw 27 luxury homes sold, with prices ranging from $1 million up to $2.5 million. When compared to the previous month’s sales, the biggest difference in March was that the top five most expensive homes were in the $2 million range—lower than the top sales during February.

Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood had one of the top sales. This is a great eclectic neighborhood on the west side that merges classic and new-age tastes, with abundant dining options and cultural interest, particularly in art, theater and music.

Lincoln Park real estate also topped the list (as it typically does), with two out of the five sales. Lincoln Park is especially covetable for its schools, its proximity to everything from dining to beautiful parks to nightlife.
