Having sold Chicago real estate for the last 23 years, I’ve been in nearly every luxury building in the city. That being said, there is one building that, although relatively new to the luxury real estate scene, is in a league of its own: Trump Tower.
Last week I attended an open house to see the newly finished models in Trump Tower and to reacquaint myself with the building, which began welcoming residents in 2008. It takes me back to the first time I set foot in Trump Tower in New York City (where I was raised), an experience that immediately made me feel that I was exclusively receiving the utmost attention and service out there. Chicago’s Trump Tower creates that same excitement; that you’ve entered a building that was made for the rich and famous. But wealth and fame aside, Chicago’s Trump Tower continues to be coveted for luxury Chicago condos, and it’s clear why as soon as you walk into the building.
Chicago Real Estate in Trump Tower
This latest visit really painted a picture of what sort of lifestyle comes with a Chicago real estate purchase in Trump Tower. As I pulled up to the building, two doormen immediately opened the doors on each side of my car, seamlessly assisting my guest, providing a valet ticket and whisking my car off to the garage. As we were directed to where we would see the new model units, the Trump lifestyle took over.
Doors open immediately and staff greet you with welcome smiles as you enter the main lobby. The lobby itself is grand, elegantly designed with 20-plus-foot ceilings. A staff person escorts you to the elevator and sets it so that you—and only you—can arrive on the designated floor.
Trump’s gracious staff members are found throughout the building, prepared to fulfill even the smallest requests from it’s guests and residents. Living at Trump Tower means having everything you need at hand, without having to even leave the building. From access to its high-end spa, upscale dining and retail options, these Chicago condos were designed to surround residents with everything they’d need around the clock. Additional conveniences like indoor deeded parking, 24/7 doormen, concierge services, and meticulous housekeeping are also available, and a vast, heated indoor pool in the Spa at Trump overlooks the Chicago River and Lake Michigan and allows residents to indulge year round.
Chicago Condos Available in Trump Tower
-Snaidero Italian wood cabinetery
-Sub-Zerio refrigerator and freezer
-Miele stainless steel cooking appliances
-Marble or limestone bathroom floors and walls
-Kohler brushed nickel fixtures
-Powder rooms, walk-in closets and fireplaces in many units
The 10-foot ceilings in each unit is a unique feature—most Chicago new construction buildings have 9-foot ceiling heights, and the extra space truly provides an openness, even in the building’s smaller units. Ceiling heights are one of the nuances that vary from building to building and can make a world of difference—I would be happy to show you buildings with both to emphasize how even that extra foot adds to the luxury of the unit.
But the Chicago condos in Trump don’t stop at 10 feet. Seven individual floors have units with 11-foot ceilings, while the 86th floor boasts 12-foot ceilings in some condos. And if you really want to make a statement, 16-foot floors can be found of the 87th, 88th and 89th floors.
The Trump Tower lifestyle is refined and tasteful without being over the top, and its services cannot be matched by any other Chicago new construction building. In fact, I sold a Trump Tower condo about a year and a half ago, and while of course my client loved his new home, the Trump lifestyle is what he raves about every time I speak with him. It is an unmatched experience in Chicago’s luxury real estate market.
With several units still available from the developer, there has yet to be a better time to get a deal in this building. To learn more about the units available and to take a tour of the new model condos, give me a call at 312-264-5853 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
