Just as I was excited to see work in full swing at the Lincoln Park 2520 site earlier this month, I was also excited to walk down Michigan Avenue and see the up-and-coming Ritz-Carlton Residences making serious construction progress.
That’s not just because Lincoln Park 2520 and the Ritz-Carlton Residences are two of the few Chicago new construction projects in the works. They both are also designed by famed (and retiring) architect Lucien Lagrange, and have been long-anticipated additions to the Chicago real estate market for luxury condos.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences, at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Erie Street, will be the ultimate in downtown Chicago new construction. Here’s a closer look at why the 88 condos inside are slated to be the best among Chicago condos:
Architecture: With Lagrange’s award-winning firm at the helm of this project, there’s no doubt it will exhibit quality and elegance only seen in Chicago’s most iconic buildings. The building is envisioned to have a classic design, keeping it timeless and historic, but with the most advanced technologies and amenities.
Design: Darcy Bonner Associates, who is also spearheading the look of Lincoln Park 2520, will masterfully create units with classic and contemporary elements that allow residents to bring their own style. Residents are even able to choose the finishes and appointments for their unit that best fit their lifestyle. Common areas like the building’s lobby and corridors will feature Niedermaier furnishings that define modern luxury.
Location: Location is everything, right? Outside the doors of the Ritz-Carlton Residences, the best of Chicago is at your fingertips—upscale shopping, exquisite cultural life, fine dining, the best in entertainment and more.
Five-star staff: The Ritz-Carlton name is one of top-notch service and care, and the staff in this building are expertly trained by Ritz-Carlton, making them capable of handling the most unique and demanding needs. Key staff members will include a director of residence, concierges, a club chef, director of security and more.
Amenities and Services: Within the building, residences can enjoy the Landmark Club and Spa, a private entrance and storage, individual wine bins, a screening room and terrace. Additional services will include in-home housekeeping, catering, pet and plant care, plus dog walking, limo service and car washing.
I’ve had more than 21 years in selling Chicago new construction—representing more than $250 million in sold real estate, including a $5 million new construction property on Orchard, one of the city’s most prestigious streets. A property like that is no small investment, and I’ll be happy to help you obtain floor plans and understand the nuances of each unit. I can also take you through the nitty-gritty details of this project and help you learn more about all the great professionals involved in creating it. I have no doubt that this is a building that will maintain its cachet and grace for lifetimes ahead of us.
